Dirty condenser/evaporator coils, a slightly low refrigerant charge or leaking ductwork will increase system run time and electric bills. The cost of having your system professionally serviced is money well spent.
1. Inspect and clean condenser coil.
2. Check compressor and fan motors against rated amperage.
3. Check refrigerant charge, system operating pressures and temperatures.
4. Check thermostat for proper calibration.
5. Check all air filters.
6. Check condensate drain pans and drain lines for blockage.
7. Inspect evaporator coil cleanliness, if accessible.
8. Inspect and tighten A/C electrical connections.
9. Lubricate accessible motor bearings, check air flow.
10. Inspect ductwork for leaks.
